When you need your concrete resurfaced – think of us. That is exactly what our latest customers did from Hamilton Lake, Indiana – they called on us to resurface their patio and walkway. Nothing fancy or decorative but a whole lot better than what they had.
Their concrete was old, pitted with hairline cracks – and on top of that it had two layers of old and flaking paint. Not the ideal slab of concrete to work with but it just took a little bit more prep work to get it ready to coat.
Day one involved shot blasting and grinding the surface to remove all of the old paint. After that we acid etched the surface and used our hover scrubber and pressure washer to blast off anything loose and to eliminate all of the dust. Then we troweled down a base coat of our hybrid polymer cement over the entire surface and called it a day.
On the next and final day, used our resin-infused and fast setting cement to patch pitted areas and used the grinder to smooth out the surface after it dried. We then masked the walls and railing areas and sprayed the final “buff colored” polymer cement mixture. We added the final touches by highlighting the surface with flecks of white, brown and dark brown cement then coated the surface two coats of our industrial strength clear sealer.
